Value: 2 Crore | The medical education department has, through a resolution issued granted administrative approval to procure equipment at Government Medical College, Gondia through state plan grant in the financial year 2018-19
While Rs65.95 lakh were already sanctioned under district annual plan of 2017-18, now Rs 2 crore more have been granted from state plan budget. Thus, a total of nearly Rs 2.66 crore is now available to purchase equipment for the new government medical college coming up in Gondia. CT Scan machine is among the equipment to be procured from the funds
the forest and revenue department, through separate GRs, released funds for rehabilitation of villages in Melghat national park under the Centrally sponsored scheme 2018-19 and for Pench tiger reserve under Project Tiger scheme
The state budget has earmarked Rs15 crore towards rehabilitation and resettlement of villages located in national parks and protected reserves. As per recommendation of the authorities concerned, Rs5.5 crore have been released for specific purpose of rehabilitating of Tarai village lying in Akot division of Melghat reserve forest
A GR issued has released Rs4.78 crore as the state’s contribution for Pench tiger reserve under Project Tiger. Earlier, 100% of the funds for the project used to be given by the Centre . But norms were revised in 2016-17 and it was agreed that the Centre would give 60% and state would have to provide 40% . Accordingly, on receipt of Rs5.81 as Centre’s share, the state has released Rs4.78 crore and thus Rs10.60 crore would be available for Pench tiger reserve
